We book exterior washing across Knoxville and the towns around it, and we're always glad to hear from careful, reliable people.
Do you hire washers directly?
No. The washing is done by independent local contractors who run their own businesses and hire their own crews. If you're looking for a job on a crew, we can pass your details to contractors we work with who are hiring.
I own a pressure washing business. How do we start?
Email hello@smokymountainpressurewash.com with your business name, the towns you cover, what you wash (house, roof, flatwork, decks, commercial, fleet), and a copy of your Knox County or other county business licence and your certificate of insurance. We'll set up a call.
What do you expect from a contractor?
Showing up when promised, sticking to the price agreed, and washing the way this site says it's done: soft wash on siding and shingles, wide tips and distance on wood, surface cleaners on concrete, plants protected and wash water kept out of the storm drains.
Do I need a state licence?
Tennessee doesn't license pressure washing at the state level. You'll need a county business licence and state business tax registration. We ask for proof of general liability insurance before we send any work, because homeowners and commercial clients will ask for it too.
What kind of work comes through?
Mostly homes: house soft washes, driveways, decks, fences, patios and gutters, with a share of storefronts, apartment common areas and fleet washing. The busy season runs from spring through fall.
I'm looking for crew work. What should I send?
Your name, where you live, whether you have a driver's license and reliable transport, and any washing, painting or landscaping experience. Soft-wash and roof experience is a plus. Email it, or call (865) 390-6589 and leave your details.
